Temple dance is movement practised as devotion rather than performance. Classes combine embodied movement, archetypal exploration and devotional choreography in a circle of women of all ages. Akara Heart teaches drop-in classes at The Goddess Hall in Glastonbury. 

Not at all. Our drop-in sessions are about presence, reconnecting with your body and discovering the freedom of movement through intention and expression. We may explore elements of dance technique, but the emphasis is on feeling rather than performing, allowing your body to move in its own natural way.

Women of all ages and experience levels are warmly welcome. No previous dance experience is needed, just an open heart and a willingness to explore.

The Sacred Temple Arts Mystery School is evolving into a beautiful new chapter. Akara is joining forces with Kate from Aluna Dance Temple to birth Amphora Sacred Dance Arts, a new school weaving together sacred dance, feminine embodiment, ritual and priestess arts.

Beginning in January 2027, Amphora will offer in-person immersions and retreats in Glastonbury and internationally, creating sacred spaces for deeper exploration, connection and remembrance.
